Key skills & experience

Louis has more than 30 years process engineering, project management, commercial and operations experience with experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas, mineral processing and metals industries with a focus on project development. Recent work has been on rare earth project development.

 

Louis gained professional engineering status and experience in commissioning of large projects, process development, providing process engineering support to management teams and plant management.

 

Louis provided funding packages for over 100 greenfield and brown field manufacturing and resource projects as the leader, technical, marketing or financial member of a financing team gaining commercial and financial experience to complement his engineering expertise.

 

Louis has worked on the development of new process technologies in the mineral processing field with experience in leaching, reactor design, solvent extraction, crystallisation and thermal decomposition processes using rotary kilns and fluid beds and has process and project management experience in pilot and demonstration plants.Louis has extensive experience in managing feasibility studies in the resource sector.

Project manager for the Palmag demonstration plant to prove a new process to produce alumina, magnesia and potash
